Mediatrix Introduces the 4100 Series of VoIP Access Devices
05-29-2007
Mediatrix Telecom, the leader in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) access devices and gateways, announced today the release of the Mediatrix 4100 Series family of VoIP Access Devices. With the capability to connect 4, 8, 16, or 24 analog phones and/or faxes to a broadband modem or LAN and based on a single platform, the Mediatrix 4100 Series enables cost-effective VoIP deployments in medium-size branch offices and multi-tenant applications, with varying demands for port uses.
The Mediatrix 4100 Series is the result of 10 years of Mediatrix experience in the VoIP access device market and is the sound and logical evolution of the well-known and deployed Mediatrix 1104 and 1124 product lines. This latest generation of product is another positive step forward in ensuring best-in-class total cost of ownership combined with the Mediatrix recognized quality and reliability levels, which is essential to the enterprise and carrier markets.
In addition to the SNMPv3 complete interface, the Mediatrix 4100 Series provides a web interface, giving users a convenient access to the unit for initial set-up. The devices can also auto-provision by fetching their encrypted configuration from a TFTP or HTTP server, making installation secure and transparent to the end-users. To further facilitate deployments, factory-loaded configurations are possible. In addition, an intelligent PSTN bypass allows Mediatrix 4100 Series users to make emergency calls and maintain their phone service in the event of a power outage or network failure.
The Mediatrix 4100 Series also has the additional benefit of supporting high compression codecs simultaneously on each analog voice ports, thus saving valuable bandwidth, with telecom grade voice quality and reliability.
"As the enterprise VoIP market continues to evolve, we have worked diligently to provide VoIP technology that is of the highest levels of performance and voice quality for the SMB," said Philippe Babin, Director of Product Line Management for Mediatrix. "Mediatrix's experience in manufacturing advanced VoIP solutions has enabled us to rollout a new family of VoIP Access Devices to our customers that has been optimally architected with the features, scalability, and flexibility that meets a wide variety of VoIP requirements."
